Andrea Valencia-Jaquez, the creative eye behind Andrea Valencia Photography, discovered her love for photography at the age of 10 when her grandfather gave her an old Olympus camera. From that moment on, photography became a constant companion throughout her childhood and early adult years. With 8 years of professional experience under her belt, Andrea remains committed to approaching each client interaction with intention and artistry.

Born in Midland but raised in Cedar Park, Texas, Andrea has seamlessly woven her life between these two places. Since settling back in Midland in 2014, she has called it home ever since.

While Andrea initially started her photography journey with Canon, she now prefers shooting with Sony.  When asked about her favorite type of photography session, Andrea finds it challenging to choose between creative couples sessions and innovative graduation sessions, both of which hold a special place in her heart.

For Andrea, the most rewarding aspect of being a photographer is the opportunity to capture the essence of individuals, transforming strangers into friends and immortalizing their best selves through her lens.

Offering valuable advice to fellow photographers, Andrea emphasizes the importance of avoiding comparisons to others' success, embracing continuous learning, challenging comfort zones for growth, and prioritizing self-care for a healthy mindset and optimal creativity.
